This paper analyzes the problems the US faces in Afghanistan and Iraq. The study examines a revitalization of the Taliban's numerous associates that control substantial rural areas in Afghanistan, the US counter insurgency operations in Iraq, and finally, the further prospects of the US security policy in these matters.
