This paper examines the main points of criticism the US administration has faced since the Iraq war. The authors reply to different critical statements made by various experts and the public and describe the lessons that have to be learned from the Iraq war. The paper concludes that however the conflict in Iraq ends, the lessons drawn from the experience are likely to have policy implications for the US government.
