This report focuses on conflict prevention and peacebuilding. The author explores such issues as structural and institutional prevention, the linkages between conflict prevention and development, as well as the importance of regional mechanisms and early warning systems. The report analyzes how conflict and prevention are perceived and addressed by the international communicty, and offers a series of applicable recommendations.
