This paper analyzes the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and political developments in the Caspian Sea area. Firstly, it provides a historical overview of the Eurasia region and then focuses on Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. The study explores the nature of the Armenian-Azerbaijani confrontation and assesses possible conflict mediation policies. Further, it highlights the importance of the Eurasian transport corridor, oil pipeline routes and draws attention to the political and economic impact of regional actors: Russia, Turkey, Iran and the US.
