This report examines the insurgency crisis in Nigeria's Delta. It points out the historical past of the militancy and underdevelopment in Nigeria and then examines the government's efforts including efforts of the oil companies in corporate-community relations (CCR) in the Niger Delta. It underlines the security reforms as an essential aspect to restore community confidence and trust, and proposes several recommendations to Nigeria's Federal Government and the wider international community.
