This issue of Russia in Global Affairs offers an analysis of Russia’s role in the contemporary politics and economy, namely it looks at Russia’s presidency at the G8, its policy toward Asia, peace initiatives and ideology issues affecting Russia-US relations. It also features articles dedicated to the discussion of identity in the post-Soviet countries with a focus on identity and national concepts in Russian society. Additionally, it looks at issues facing the Russian diaspora in Ukraine and Azerbaijan’s foreign policy toward Iran and the US.
