The first three chapters of this publication address the following topics: the problem of child labor in Pakistan, the role and impact of the Sharia law on Afghanistan’s constitutional development process, and the implications of the radical Islamist movement Al-Takfir Wal-Hijra on the national security of Middle Eastern and Western states. The fourth article analyzes strategies formerly used by the Algerian Front de Libération National (FLN) and makes recommendations for US war planners in Iraq. The last chapter examines those characteristics that differentiate public diplomacy from propaganda methods by analyzing Iran’s international broadcasting arm, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
