This report comprises the contributions made to a seminar organized by the NATO Defense College and Israeli research institutions and conducted in Rome in November 2004. Among the topics addressed at the seminar were the security concerns of the Maghreb as well as the region’s relation with the EU, the future role of NATO in the Middle East, and Arab perceptions of the West.
