This report summarizes the discussions from the October 2006 SDA roundtable on defending Europe's infrastructure in the event of a terrorist attack. In the aftermath of the July 2005 London bombings, the participants discuss whether EU governments collaborate on infrastructure protection. Among the main questions set for the agenda are: whether a net centric approach to critical infrastructure protection is viable, what roles the EU and NATO can play in coordinating international efforts and what different levels of priority should be given to the strengthening of purely domestic infrastructures like transportation and power generation, while also considering infrastructures that transcend national boundaries, such as the internet.
