This report summarizes the discussions from a debate on the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base (EDTIB), jointly organized by the European Defence Agency (EDA) and the Security Defence Agenda (SDA). The participants reach consensus that the EDTIB could be revitalized by an increase in effective research spending, the promotion of SME's expertise and a long-term strategic approach based on cooperation rather than replication.
