This paper examines the ideological threats confronting the United States and its lack of cultural savvy, along with the implications, and proposes a new outlook for policy leaders and strategists. In an illustrative case the paper furthermore addresses the issue of how to deal with radical or resurging Islam. In the conclusion the author states that cultural education and training must be shifted from techniques that restrain Americans, to knowledge and methods that empower them in order to sustain its positive balance of economic, political, socio-psychological and military power in the global community.
