The paper discusses Norway’s and other countries’ experience in this field, assesses activities for remedial actions in Northwest Russia, and presents suggestions for continued and improved cooperation. The paper starts with a threat assessment, summarizes bilateral and international assistance programs as well as lessons learned and, finally, identifies future priorities.
