In this publication, five Asian journalists discuss the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, DC as well as the US war on terrorism from the perspective of their own countries. The authors analyze the evolution of global terrorism, the background of the US declaration of war on terrorism and its increasing unilateralism, calls for international action and the mixed emotions in predominantly Muslim Indonesia.
