This paper describes how the Asia-Pacific region is particularly vulnerable to the effects of global warming. The author details processes of risk planning and climate change preparation in the Asia-Pacific countries. The paper details how dynamic partnerships between science and society have emerged as a result of efforts to minimize risk and maximize preparation.
