Thid paper discusses the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Asia. The author explains that in Asia the epidemic has not nearly infected as high a proportion of the population as in Africa or other places of the world. The paper states that encouraging results in Thailand and Cambodia have shown that it is possible to lower HIV transmission rates by aggressive prevention programs by targeting the specific risk groups.
