This report addresses the social, political and economic challenges in Bolivia and presents recommendations for the US government. The author encourages the US government to redirect its policy toward Bolivia with an emphasis on preservation of democratic process and conflict prevention. The report also recommends to continue the work on developing relations with both the Bolivian government and opposition and urges Washington to work with regional states to persuade all Bolivian parties to work within the democratic system to address the nation's many challenges.
