This report addresses tensions and conflicts between Ethiopia and Eritrea, focusing mainly on the demarcation of the mutual border. The paper discusses the causes of the conflict, reviews the war and the subsequent peace process and investigates the implementation of the Algiers peace agreement. Subsequently, the paper sheds light on Ethiopia’s view regarding the proposals of the Boundary Commission and border demarcation in general. Finally, the paper presents a comprehensive conflict prevention approach.
