This paper contains ten articles, each addressing a topic of strategic importance to the US and its participation in international aid and diplomacy after the attacks of 11 September 2001. Subject matter includes international development policy, public diplomacy, terrorism, security policy, and humanitarian aid and landmine action programs. The authors include their opinions on the development of these fields as well as their suggestions for increased US engagement with its international partners.
