This document examines global health issues from foreign policy and international security perspectives. The authors argue that issues in international public health transcend traditional models of inter-state conflict and disaster prevention. Collectively, the nine chapters of this document present general guidelines for assessing the nature of global health threats and fashioning out effective responses to them.
