Simply put, Donald Trump’s victory has made Ukrainian officials very anxious, particularly given President Poroshenko and other authorities’ vocal endorsement of Hillary Clinton. Additionally, members of a new, Trump-friendly opposition within the Ukrainian government are now seeking to challenge and discredit Poroshenko, which virtually ensures that future US-Ukraine relations will be marked by a high degree of uncertainty.
