Publication

This paper addresses the role of the regions in European policymaking and the transposition and implementation of EU legislation. The paper outlines the findings of a survey on the transposition of EU directives in regions with legislative powers carried out by the EPC with the support of the Scottish Executive. The author underlines the need for more attention to be paid to this important aspect of the Better Regulation agenda and makes a series of recommendations for action.
