This paper outlines the Chinese perspective on its national security threats. It separates between traditional threats, which are represented by US, Japan and India. These countries are considered able and willing to endanger territorial integrity and sovereignty and social and economic development. The paper also identifies non-traditional threats, such as economic disparities, environmental degradation and energy insecurity.
