This issue of Strategic Insights addresses the operational realities of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and reviews regional security threats. In particular, the paper discusses the US Air Force's operational planning in case of being attacked with chemical weapons, the implication of North Korea's nuclear program for its reunification with South Korea and strengthening US border and port security. Subsequently, the paper sheds light on how it was possible to stop Libya from developing WMD, the impact of corruption in the Middle East and Argentina's policy during the Falklands/Malvinas war.
