This issue of Strategic Insight addresses two subjects, both related to the US invasion of Iraq. Firstly, it examines possible Iraqi strategies for avoiding the wide range of problems that have plagued almost all other developing oil country exporters. Secondly, it discusses the serious aggravation in US-Turkish relations after the Turkish parliament decided not to allow deployment of US forces from Turkey to invade Iraq.
