This monograph offers an analysis of the state of studies on the Mediterranean and the Middle East in the UK and Spain and includes a series of proposals for strengthening research and collaboration in this field. The publication is based on a meeting between Spanish and UK specialists on the Mediterranean and the Middle East, which took place in March 2006, and includes two reports that were commissioned for this conference.
