This paper addresses the growing importance of private security companies (PSC) in the field of security and war, focusing on the collaboration and interaction between PSCs and nongovernmental organizations (NGO). The paper explains the rationale for NGO-PSC interaction and analyzes its problems and shortcomings, commenting on the threat posed to NGO operation, the impact of the human security-centric framework and challenges in NGO-state military relations.
