This study accounts for the increase in cooperative ventures between Russian defense enterprises and US companies after the collapse of the former Soviet Union. Factors affecting companies' and enterprises' decisions regarding cooperative ventures and some of the determinants of success are also discussed. In conclusion, the report suggests that Russia's market economy will expand and that further US-Russian cooperative ventures can be expected to form.
