Publication

This publication summerizes the "Protecting and Assuring Critical National Infrastructure" conference held at Stanford University in March 1997. The term "critical infrastructure" is defined and potential threats are evaluated. Furthermore, the impact of possible protective actions on the marketplace, costs in terms of capital and functionality, legal constraints and the probable need for international cooperation are discussed.
