This publication assesses the implications of US exports in high-performance computing (HPC) for US national security concepts. The authors argue that HPC technologies are crucial to US security, as problems of great national security importance require high-performance computing for their solution. Thus, the authors voice support for an effective export control policy on HPC’s without calling for a complete ban on exports.
