Publication

This publication summarizes the debates conducted during a Stanford University conference on geopolitical issues in the Caspian Basin region in May 1999. Academics, policymakers and energy executives examined conflicting political and economic approaches to the region. Panelists also offered diverse views on whether energy development could promote regional cooperation or was likely to exacerbate existing conflicts.
