This paper provides answers to the most frequently asked questions about nuclear terrorism, beginning with a summary of the main nuclear threats such as "dirty bombs," attacks on nuclear facilities and attacks using nuclear weapons. The different types and sources of radiation are also discussed. The authors explain the damage that could result from the different scenarios, ending with a discussion on what is generally known about how to respond to and prevent these threats.
