The multiple authors in this text focus on how the US military’s Third Offset Strategy, which puts a premium on maintaining military superiority by investing in technological, organizational, and operational innovation, could affect the future security of the Korean Peninsula. While exploring this overarching theme, the text's contributors also examine how the Offset Strategy could affect 1) the existing alliance between the US and Republic of Korea (ROK); 2) the trajectory of the South Korean military’s innovation strategies; 3) North Korea's own offset strategy; 4) the US’ power projection capabilities; and 5) the ROK's space security.
