Promoting peaceful ways of addressing violent political conflict with religious dimensions is an integral part of contemporary Swiss political culture and peace policy. But what key elements and principles underlie this culture and how did they emerge? This CSS analysis responds and highlights how the Swiss norms of solving problems on a practical and local level - and in a consensual and collaborative manner - may provide insights on how to address religion and conflict in other parts of the world.
