This paper comprises the report and several speeches from the March 2007 conference entitled "Comprehensive Approach to Modern Conflict: Afghanistan and Beyond." In addition to discussing a comprehensive approach to the post-conflict reconstruction of Afghanistan, the individual chapters focus on the evolving role of NATO to meet 21st-century security challenges and particular cooperation between Hungary and the Netherlands with respect to national and regional actors in Afghanistan.
