This monthly briefing analyzes the 2006 mid-sessional elections to the US Congress. According to the author, the election results were deeply unsatisfactory for the Bush administration, primarily because the Democrats were able to regain control over a range of House and Senate committees. The paper further discusses the relations between the Baker-Hamilton commission on Iraq and the neo-conservatives.
