This paper discusses US strategic challenges and policy choices in the Gulf region. The contributors examine the issue of the nuclear weapons program in Iran and the dangers of nuclear proliferation emanating from it. The paper analyzes the impact of the Iranian nuclear activities on the stability and strategic balance of the Middle East and on Western security concerns for the region.
