This paper discusses the political and economic rise of China and analyzes it global impact. The authors examine the developments in China from a policy-making point of view. The research paper is intended to act as a resource on China's political transformation. Part I of the paper provides key facts and figures about China, while parts II and III review past developments and future prospects by addressing several key questions. Part IV finally summarizes key aspects of UK and EU relations with China.
