This paper provides background information on the UK Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill. The authors explain the provisions of the bill and detail how it includes measures on youth justice, sentencing and the release and recalls of prisoners, as well as covering aspects of pornography and prostitution, offenses relating to nuclear material and facilities, data protection penalties and international cooperation in criminal matters. Further provisions address anti-social behavior, police discipline and the new restricted immigration status.
