This paper discusses the different security threats and challenges facing Pakistan. The authors examine the political crisis in the country and analyze the role of the different actors involved. The paper details how most international observers view Pakistan with pessimism in terms of future prospects for the country. Furthermore, the paper addresses Pakistan's role in the war on terror, its bilateral foreign relations, the military and nuclear capabilities and the amount of help it receives.
