This paper presents and discusses 12 theses on differentiated integration within the framework of the EU, weighing the pros and cons of each approach. It outlines six divergent forms of differentiated integration and identifies several related basic principles and consequences, including the call for cooperation within the framework of the EU, avoidance of a single master plan and a preference for functional-pragmatic differentiation.
