This paper discusses Taiwan's problems getting access to international organizations because of the People's Republic of China's (PRC) resistance. The author argues that the international system does not operate according to morality and that Taiwan faces daunting conceptual, historical and political obstacles to breaking the PRC's international blockade against it. The paper concludes that the stakes are against Taiwan on this issue.
