This paper examines the issue and health threat of bovine tuberculosis in the UK. The author examines the increasing number of cases detected within UK herds and the geographical spread of such cases throughout the country. The paper details how it has been suggested that the methods used to decrease the incidence of tuberculosis in cattle has been hampered by the existence of a reservoir for the disease within the UK badger population.
