This paper highlights the differences and similarities between child and adult fighters along factional lines with a particular emphasis on Liberia. It provides information on the ex-combatants’ socioeconomic demographics, geographic locations during the 14-year civil war and various combatant actions while serving with their former factions during the conflict, factional recruitment and incentives, and level of participation in international intervention programs in post-conflict Liberia.
