This publication analyzes the expanding presence of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in countries that both border Colombia and the US. The authors present an overview of FARC's activity in Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Mexico, giving special attention to its deepening presence in the borderlands minimally controlled by Colombia's neighbors. The authors conclude that FARC is not just a Colombian but an Andean insurgency and a threat to regional security, extending from Argentina to Mexico.
