This paper examines the extent of small arms trade and proliferation in Southeast Asia and Russia's Far East and its possible impact on Canadian interests. It provides an introduction to small arms proliferation and focuses on the impact on human security as well as on sources, routes and recipients of small arms. The authors find that there is evidence of illicit arms flows, yet, it has not reached a danger point.
