This monograph draws attention to the rebuilding of the Russian military. The author examines the reform of the armed forces and of their organizational structure, the financing of the military and the reform of the defense industrial sector. She argues that this reform must not be overlooked, as it constitutes a high priority for President Vladimir Putin and could bring about major changes not only in Russian policy, but in international affairs more generally.
