This paper provides information on the existing and planned energy supply infrastructure between the EU member states and Russia. It features an overview of the existing transport infrastructure, both overland and sea routes, and introduces the concept of diversification with its implications for producer and supplier states. Subsequently, the paper looks at projected new pipelines and the respective economic and political implications and makes suggestions for the advancement of energy security between Russia and the EU.
