This report examines the interrelationships among the energy, water and agricultural sectors in developing countries. It proposes a new approach to the development of these three interdependent basic resources. The authors underline the view that without the availability, accessibility and affordability of clean energy, water and food provided by market-based approaches, the political stability in many developing countries that is a prerequisite for economic growth and sustainable democratic governance will not be achieved.
