This report discusses the increasing social and political importance of the cybersecurity threat. It argues that most cyberattacks tend to be linked to denials of service and can be done for political or criminal purposes. Rather than placing particular importance on the details of who, what and where, the report highlights a concern about the perception that national security being under attack from cyberspace.
