This monograph addresses the question of North Korea’s future. Specifically, it explores the future of the regime of Kim Jong Il, constructs a number of scenarios and then identifies the most plausible one. According to the author, the key question is not whether the regime will collapse, but when and how. The logic behind this assumption is based on this author’s assessment that the Kim regime is a totalitarian one and that such a regime has a limited life span.
